The turbine monitoring instrument (TSI) monitors important operating parameters such as turbine vibration and axial displacement. When the parameters exceed the limit, the protection system will be activated to protect the safe operation of the turbine unit. The monitoring instrument sensor is installed on the bearing seat. Under normal circumstances, the working temperature of the probe is much lower than its maximum allowable temperature. However, if there is a steam leakage in the shaft seal, the probe will be kept in a high temperature state for a long time, which will affect the normal operation of the equipment and have a certain impact on its life. During the operation of the unit, the ambient temperature of the probe should be kept within the allowable range as much as possible.

This article sorts out the allowable operating temperature range of the TSI primary instrument of the Shanghai Steam Turbine Factory by model and brand for user reference. The data in the following table are the allowable operating temperature range, and the unit is Celsius ℃, where "/" means not applicable, and all data are only statistics for non-explosion-proof area scenarios.
